About the accelerator
The TAURON Progres accelerator programme is dedicated to entities working on solutions which are part of the challenges facing the energy sector, in particular those identified in the TAURON Group development Strategy and mapped out, among others, in the TAURON Strategic Research Agenda.
In particular, we are searching for solutions in the following areas:

modern solutions supporting the management, maintenance and effectiveness of the RES infrastructure

modern solutions supporting the production process of "green" hydrogen
We are searching for entities with whom we will undertake cooperation under the development of innovative solutions allowing to expand the current offer of TAURON Group companies by new products and services but also affecting the improvement of production processes and provision of services already offered on the market.
The support under the programme is possible owing to the cooperation of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. with other companies constituting TAURON Group.
ACCELERATOR SUPPORT
COVERING THE COSTS OF WORK
A Startup can rely on support in the form of financial resources to cover the costs of work under the pilot project carried out under the Programme.
INFRASTRUCTURE ACCCESS PROVIDED
Pilot works can be carried out at the infrastructure of TAURON Group Companies, appropriate for the nature and purpose of the solution tested.
COOPERATION WITH TAURON GROUP EXPERTS
Preparing a solution for market implementation involves not only technical product development and tests with the participation of TAURON Group technical experts. It also means working with business experts to verify the business model adopted.
SUPPORT OF A LARGE EXPERIENCED ENTITY
The implementation of the pilot project and the validation of the product in cooperation with customers of a large entity will enable an extensive analysis of the solution usefulness in real conditions.
TAURON support is available to entities whose solutions are at least at Technology Readiness Level 7 (TRL 7).
Technology readiness levels (TRL) 7 to 9 are understood as follows:

Level 7 (VII)
The prototype is almost at an operating system level. This level represents significant progress and requires demonstration that the technology developed is operationally feasible. Research at this level includes testing of prototypes on the so-called research platforms.

Level 8 (VIII)
It means that it has been confirmed that the target technology level has been reached and the technology can be applied under the conditions envisaged for it. In practice, this level represents the end of the demonstration. Examples include testing and evaluation of systems to confirm that design assumptions are fulfilled, including those relating to the logistic security and training.

Level 9 (IX)
It indicates that the technology demonstrated is already in its final form and can be implemented in the target system. Among others, it relates to the use of the systems developed in real conditions.

Depending on the specific nature of the solution offered, its innovativeness and technological advancement, TAURON Group foresees various models of cooperation. They enable evaluation of the operation of the solution in real conditions, its further development, offer the opportunity to implement and use the tested solution under the activity of a TAURON Group company.

Entities wishing to obtain capital support for the development of their solutions may receive financial support from the CVC fund co-founded by TAURON Group.
TAURON, in cooperation with the Polish Development Fund and the National Centre for Research and Development, has established the CVC EEC Magenta investment fund.
The CVC EEC Magenta Fund, co-funded by TAURON, operates under two programmes: PFR Starter FIZ and PFR NCBR CVC. The entity responsible for fund management is EEC Magenta Sp. z o.o., a company independent of investors.
PFR Starter FIZ
Financing under PFR Starter FIZ: investment in projects at an early stage of development in the broadly understood energy industry, environmental protection, clean technologies and material engineering. Besides financing amounting even to PLN 3 million, EEC Magenta offers, among others, a possibility of testing its products and pilot implementation within the infrastructure of the partner - TAURON Group, as well as a possibility of using a wide base of contacts.

EEC Magenta finances projects of companies at a growth stage, whose first commercial sale of products or services took place no longer than 7 years ago. Support is addressed to teams that create innovative solutions in the energy sector, clean technologies and material engineering. The value of the fund is PLN 160 million, and the maximum co-financing for one project amounts to PLN 26 million. As a company belonging to the EEC Magenta portfolio, it can also benefit from the knowledge and experience of the fund management team, which can be proud of its activities, among others, in the Silicon Valley.
